Morrisons Winery, Moama 

Morrisons Riverview Winery, Restaurant and Bar is Moama’s newest must visit location! At Morrisons their philosophy when it comes to food and wine is simple: a dedication to local produce with a balance of traditional and modern cookery. It is this magical environment alongside this delicious food that has earnt Morrisons the awards of best restaurant in Southern New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory. Utilising only the freshest ingredients and of course, complimenting these selections with an excellent choice of wines. To tempt you even more, the restaurant prides itself on its gourmet home-made cakes and extensive coffee menu. They also offer a superb selection of platters that go hand in hand with their excellent wines. With incredible surrounds, a brand new playground for children to enjoy and a huge grassed area, all members of your family and friends will definitely enjoy the visit.

The Morrisons property includes fifteen acres of beautiful vineyard that produces a warmer climate style of juice. The very first grape variety plantings began in the year 1993. After years of work, careful deliberation and development of wine varieties, Morrisons opened a small cellar door in 2000, allowing the public to enjoy. Varieties of wine that they grow, barrell and sell include 2017, 2018 and 2019 blends. The Sauvignon Blanc has experience perfect growing conditions, creating a wine that is light, dry and crisp, bursting with tropical fruit.

Other white wine varieties including their Chardonnay are a special variety of unwooded wines. For example, the 2016 Unwooded Chardonnay is light and fresh, creating an herbaceous drink that still shows bright, citrus flavours. Morrisons delve into red wines unabashedly confident. Their Shiraz is one of the most elegant blends you’ll find in the region. Presenting a little softer than blends the property has provided previously, as a youthful wine, fresh fruits burst through on the palate. Finishing off with a subtle spice and oak.

Not only is there a unique array of wine varieties to try, there is also a brewery on site as well! The regions newest brewery is now complete. The Morrisons team has been working hard and putting a whole lot of love into creating amazing brews. Using their love of beer, the Morrisons staff have created craft ales and cider all on top. The core range of Morrisons brewery includes a pilsner, pale ale, brown ale, and also includes pop-up varieties of I.P.A, dark and wheat beers. The brewery is open for visitors every weekend with its own beer garden and entertainment, completing the huge array of activities available. 

From the Morrisons vineyard and brewery it takes only a 180 degree turn to see the best of what the Murray River has to offer. The rivers unique views and amazing wildlife are just another great addition to the property that makes it so enjoyable to visit. From every seat at Morrisons restaurant you and your group enjoying a day at the property will be able to enjoy a stunning view of the Murray River and your own private billabong.
