St Anne’s white wines are an amazing variety you must try, and their philosophy is simple. Superior vineyard management, paired with fine wine-making, to produce excellent quality wines. Each blend is an expression of their location and passion for Australian wine. Their Pinot Gris includes lively pear and green apple aromas that leap from the glass. The textured palate is driven by primary fruit characters of nashi pear and citrus that enrich the finish. This variety is a wine bold enough to compliment an antipasto platter, or accompany a cream based dish. The Shiraz Rose is an individual blend that is sure to impress. A stylishly sweet Rose, made from Shiraz harvested in the cool of the evening. Delightfully pink in colour, this fun Rose has aromas of strawberry and confectionary. This is not to say that St Anne’s deeper red varieties are any less exciting. With crimson colour, their Merlot is a stunning drop, packed full of blackcurrant, plum and a touch of clove that enlightens the senses. The wine displays soft, savoury tannins, that allow the fruit to do the talking. With concentrated black fruits, cherry, and a subtle spice finish, this is a wine suited to barbeque meats and tomato based dishes.
Passion shines through in the St Anne’s wine-making processes. With over forty years of experience, their range of premium wines is always exciting. Not only do they provide the staple varieties, visit their cellar door to experience a world of licious liqueur Muscat and Fortified Tawnies. American Oak barrels are used exclusively to age their tawnies, allowing for the development of rich, bourbon flavours. While the palates in their muscat are a signature St Anne’s flavour, warming the senses with a display of fruit and a long buttery finish.

St Anne’s is not only committed to stunning wines, but also working to create these wines in a sustainable way. Over the years St Anne’s have worked increasingly to raise their efforts in becoming more sustainable, and reducing their carbon footprint. The family owned and operated winery now runs under the Organic Cultivation Practises, a process of steps that improve soil fertility, crop rotation, compost and ultimately result in less carbon lost into the atmosphere. Introducing these practises to the property mean that now cattle and sheep roam free in specific vineyard blocks, to reduce weed load and the need for sprays. An integral step to organic practises. They are also extremely conscious of water conservation, having introduced practices to save water at every stage possible. Using drip irrigation and soil probes allow for winemakers to accurately and precisely measure the amount of water needed. There is also an on-site water recycling plant, this allows for 100% of the waste water from the property (generated via the winery and bottling plant) to be recycled. As if that wasn’t enough, St Anne’s mulches their very own organic winery waste, to reduce soil moisture loss and improve the soil structure. Not only do these sustainable practices show the professionalism of the winemaking team, but it also improves their drop exponentially.
